Senate bars FCC from revisiting Fairness Doctrine

Thank you, Senator DeMint.

Now we have to watch for stealth attempts to put something similar in place, with a different name.
Update:

Here it is.  While voting down the Fairness Doctrine, Senate Democrats voted for the Durbin Amendment, No. 591 “To encourage and promote diversity in communication media ownership, and to ensure that the public airwaves are used in the public interest.”  It was a party line vote.
